From the early days of the PlayStation and PC through to today’s biggest gaming franchises, Adrian has had a front-row seat to more than 30 years of games development. Starting out as a programmer on titles such as Discworld II and World Cup 98, Adrian went on to work on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, State of Emergency, Need for Speed, Sonic & All-Stars Racing and many more. Along the way he has worked across an extraordinary range of platforms, from the humble Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS to modern consoles and PC.
But Adrian’s story doesn’t stop with programming. His career has taken him behind the scenes on some of gaming’s biggest franchises, including Halo, Project Gotham Racing, Crackdown and Gears of War, before moving into senior technology and data roles. His more recent work includes Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Ninja Gaiden 4 and Forza Horizon 6. Join us for a fascinating and entertaining look behind the games — the technology, the people, the challenges and the stories that come with a career spent making the games we grew up playing, and the games we still play today.
The day will include:
• A special talk from our guest, Adrian Brown
• Full access to The Cave, Arcade Archive and Pump House to explore and enjoy
• A buffet lunch
• An invitation to join us for dinner in Stroud after the event

Please try to arrive no more than 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. There is no access to any of the museum spaces before the event begins.
The Cave is located on the 4th floor of an 18th-century mill, and there are approximately 40 steps up to its entrance. Unfortunately, due to the listed nature of the building, there is no elevator.
Please note that the toilets are located on the 3rd floor and are only accessible via stairs.
